Introduction
The coronavirus disease (COVID-19) has infected and killed millions of people around the world. Scientific research plays an important role in the epidemic, and young scientists in Hong Kong also contribute a lot to fight against the coronavirus. The Hong Kong Young Academy of Sciences (YASHK), The Hong Kong Academy for Gifted Education (HKAGE) and Hong Kong Young Industrialists Council (HKYIC) will co-organise a Webinar to share three COVID-related researches which are done by young scientists in Hong Kong to the general public.

Introduction
The vaccination process has just started in Hong Kong, but the public still has many questions concerning the vaccines. What are the differences between the different types of vaccines? How do these vaccines work and how effective are they? How is the effectiveness of vaccines evaluated by the World Health Organization? How can we reach “herd immunity”? Will everything go back to normal as before Covid-19 or will there be a "New Normal" even after vaccinations? In this seminar, experts in bioengineering and public health, Prof. Benjamin Cowling (HKU), Prof. Leo Poon (HKU) and Prof. Angela Wu (HKUST) will answer these questions.

“Meeting the Scientists and Engineering Leaders”
Organised by the Hong Kong Academy of Sciences (ASHK) and the Hong Kong Academy of Engineering Sciences (HKAES), “Meeting the Scientists and Engineering Leaders” programme includes a series of online meetings, each of which features a different scientist or engineering leader.
